The first quarter of 2024 saw varying performances among the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on iOS in the Netherlands. Here’s a closer look at the trends for each app based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a consistent download rate, starting at around 9.8K in the first week of January and fluctuating between 6.5K and 8.2K for the rest of the quarter. Weekly active users saw a slight decline, beginning at approximately 163.8K and ending at around 156.8K.

Bolt: Request a Ride showed a more dynamic trend in downloads, beginning at 9.4K in early January and decreasing to around 5.3K mid-month before stabilizing between 5.8K and 6.8K for the remainder of the quarter. Active users started at 18K and saw a gradual decline to approximately 13.6K by the end of March.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a steady download rate, starting at 535 and peaking at 720 in early March. Active users showed a slight upward trend, beginning at 10.2K and ending the quarter at around 10.3K.

Careem – rides, food & more had a varied download pattern, starting at 611 and fluctuating between 151 and 1K throughout the quarter. Active users also saw significant fluctuations, starting at 1.5K in early January, peaking at 2.2K in mid-February, and declining to around 675 by the end of March.

inDrive. Save on city rides had a lower download volume, starting at 443 and dipping to around 145 by mid-March. Active users showed a similar trend, beginning at 2.3K and fluctuating to end at approximately 2K.
